• beIN Sports Access Package - the Basics

The Access Package is the basic subscription that is available from beIN Sports. It can be purchased as a standalone package, but the channels from the Access Package are also included in all the other packages offered by beIN Sports. It includes a mixture of Arabic and English speaking channels. With the exception of "Extreme", the sports channels are Arabic speaking. Fox Movies, Fox Movies Family, Fox HD, Star World, VHD, Outdoor Channel, Travel Channel, Extreme Sports, National Geographic Wild, National Geographic People and Animal Planet are 'all' English speaking.

• Connecting and Setting up your new Satellite Receiver

If you have an existing satellite TV system (and most people do) you probably have a satellite dish that is suitable to use with the beIN Sports system. We recommend that a minimum 80cm satellite dish with a good quality LNB is used. If you do already have a satellite dish installed and it is already pointing towards the Es'Hailsat and Badr satellites, installation of the satellite receiver is simple. Connect the coax cable, connect the RCA or HDMI cable, connect the power cable, switch on and follow the on-screen prompts - that's it !

• Satellite Dish pointing at another Satellite ?

If your existing satellite dish isn't pointing at the Es'Hailsat/Badr satellites, you may wish to re-align it yourself. If you are moving your dish from the old position (Nilesat) at 7.2 Degrees West to the new position (Es'Hailsat and Badr) at 25.5 and 26 Degrees East, looking from behind, it should be moved to the left and higher above the horizon. We can help you. Send us a photograph by email and we will give you help and advice and telephone support. Alternatively, if you live in Cyprus, our local engineer can call and do the job for you (costs extra).

• bein Sports Satellite Receiver is DiSEqC Switch compatible

Many new customers come to the 'genuine' beIN Sports system from card sharing Dreambox systems that they had connected to two satellite dishes using a DiSEqC switch and a single coax cable (Nilesat and Hotbird for example). The beIN Sports satellite receiver is compatible with these switches and can handle connections to multiple satellite dishes using a single cable. Configuration instructions are included and seven day customer support is available.

• Includes an electronic programme guide for all Sports Channels

Match day fixtures are regularly advertised between programmes, but there is also an electronic programme guide to help you to plan your viewing schedule.

• HD Digital Technology

Aljazeera Sports was rebranded "beIN Sports" in January 2014 and since that time, more (true 1080 High Definition) have been made available. Currently, there are 18 Sport's channels in the beIN Sports channel line-up. Picture and sound quality is simply stunning.

• Card Sharing TV Piracy

beIN Sports relies on the new, official Humax Satellite Receiver and the Irdeto paired Smart Card system to protect the integrity of its broadcasting rights and employs various other security measures in the fight against illegal card sharing and IPTV Piracy. beIN Sports paired viewing cards cannot be used in any other receiver (beIN Sports or Generic). beIN Sports channels are secure and can only be viewed using an official Satellite Receiver with embedded Irdeto Smart Card Reader and a Paired Smart Card.

• Signal Strength, Satellite Dish and LNB Specifications

In the Middle East and North Africa, the signal from the Es'Hailsat and Badr satellites at 25.5 and 26 Degrees East is considerably stronger than the signal from the old Nilesat Satellite. Whereas before, higher quality dishes and LNB's had to be used and special attention paid in aligning the satellite dish exactly to the Nilesat Satellite to receive the strongest possible signal, the new system can use a smaller, 80cm dish and medium quality LNB. In the Middle East and North Africa, customers can now expect a signal Strength and Quality of 100 percent from a 90cm dish. The stronger signal should ensure that everyone in the Middle East receives un-interrupted coverage, even in unfavourable weather conditions.

• Fringe Reception from Es'Hailsat and Badr

Outside the Middle East and North Africa, the signal from the Es'Hailsat and Badr satellites weakens considerably. Existing customers who were able to receive an adequate signal from the Nilesat satellite, may find that they need a considerably larger dish and high quality LNB to receive a comparable signal from Es'Hailsat/Badr and some customers may find that they cannot receive an adequate signal at all.
