Over the last ten years we have fitted a lot of internet and TV systems in Cyprus. As a result, we know what will and won't work and when we say work, we mean work continuously and reliably over a reasonable period of time. Direct to Home HD satellite TV systems are our specialist area and we have been supplying and installing several different systems for a number of years BUT what does "Direct to Home" mean ?
Well, it means what it says, Direct (from a satellite in space) to home (through a satellite dish). A single, reliable connection to a satellite through which a TV signal is sent to your home. No internet involved, no dodgy card sharing involved and NO illegally Pirated access to subscription TV channels via IPTV involved.
During our time, we have seen every type of dodgy TV system come and go - they all worked for a while usually, just long enough for their procurers to collect up some beer and gambling tokens ! The people who purchased the systems or bought into the schemes did so usually, because they received a recommendation from someone else who had already purchased one when it was working (at the beginning) but they soon found out that as more and more customers were added, picture quality and service reliability was dreadful. Those who purchased these systems/schemes found out too soon that they spent more time worrying 'whether' they were going to be able to watch than they did actually watching. Not what we would describe as "continuous" or "reliable"
Our OSN customers for example, enjoy superior quality HD television TV (24x7) and experience very few outages and if and when they do, it's usually, only in very severe weather conditions which most people completely understand and accept.
So, why introduce a set top box for UK TV system that uses the internet as its delivery medium ?
Well, our Direct to Home, High Definition TV systems carry masses of superb content with unrivalled picture quality and reliability - the latest movie releases to TV, the newest episodes of everyone's favourite TV series and soaps (American and British), live news channels (such as Sky News) and all the most popular, live sporting events (Premier League Football, Formula 1 Racing, Rugby, Cricket and Tennis) but what they do not carry is live, UK Free to Air channels (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Channel 4 and 5 etc.) and that is where our set top box for UK TV comes into its own !
You can purchase one of our set top boxes for a single, one-off payment and, other than the cost of an internet connection, which most people have in any event, there is nothing else to pay ! There are no recurring monthly or annual fees to pay for the standard definition TV package (minimum 2Mbps internet connection required). Plus, should you require it, you also have the option to upgrade to a higher definition picture (minimum 4Mbps internet connection required).
A dedicated UK TV box that delivers the majority of the UK free to air TV channels without using a computer or a satellite dish and even better, without paying a monthly or annual fee for the privilege. More information is available at UK TV Box

Hi, I have a holiday home in Pyla and spend 3 months a year in Cyprus. I have a phone line to my house but it is not connected as it cost too much for just three months. What would I have to do to get your tv service, would I have to have the phone line connected and pay for broadband or is there some other way to do it ? If I subscribed to your system could I stop it while I was back in th uk and then start it on my return ?

Hi Howard,

Firstly, with the set top box for UK TV, there is no subscription. Once you have purchased it, that's it, but you do need an internet connection (minimum 2Mbps).

What you need to do is to find a cost efficient way for you to have internet for the three months that you are in Cyprus.

See if there is a wireless broadband supplier in your area that will do this for you. They will charge a one-off fee for the installation of a wireless CPE (antenna) and then a monthly fee for internet access during the time that you are here.

Thanks for visiting our web site and making an enquiry and let us know how you get on.

Regards

Paul

We are very interested in buying one of your set boxes to receive UK TV. Just a couple of queries. Is there an analogue audio outlet socket on the box ? If so what connector does it use ?

Dear Sir,

For receiving UK TV and Russian TV do I need 2 Set Top Boxes or is there a combination box ?

Why are others asking for a monthly or yearly payment ?

Kind Regards

William

Hi William, yes, we do a box with both UK and Russian channels. As for why others are charging monthly ? This is a question that I cannot answer except to say that they must be working to a different business model. Regards, Paul

Dear Sirs,

I am searching for a company which can dismantle a 4m dish in Arapkoy and install it in Malatya afterwards (best would be on the house roof I guess).

I would also need a receiver for the dish.

How much do you charge for this service and would be Friday morning available ?

I would be also interested in TV packages.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Florian
